DOGS AND THE FEAR OF NEW YEARS’ EVE FIREWORKS

Milan, December 10th 2016 – DOGS AND THE FEAR OF NEW YEARS’ EVE FIREWORKS

New Year’s Eve is at the door and with its fireworks celebrations, that so much pain cause to dogs: according to a recent international 70 per cent of pet owners report dog fear, distress or even panic related to loud noises. They feel scared as they are alarmed by the loud noises of the fireworks but do not understand that fireworks cannot harm them and feel safer when their home feels safe and secure. What pet owner can do to help their dog is to prepare a ‘safe haven’ or a ‘dog den’. Plugging in an Adaptil diffuser or fitting an Adaptil collar will increase the security felt by your dog and help to create a calm environment thanks to its pheromone natural effect.

In view of the festive season, Adaptil teamed up with DogBuddy, the largest European community for pet lovers that put together pet owners and sitter who can host dogs at their place, to fight the fear of fireworks together.

A network of DogBuddy sitters across Italy will receive Adaptil diffuser to use during Xmas and New Years’ Eve period to help the hosted dogs feel better and safer and face this period with more support. Thus, those who plan to travel and leave their dog with DogBuddy sitter can rest assured he will receive the best care at this very special time of the year.
